10:40 am - Petition for you

Today, the Senate is folding like a house of cards on telecom immunity and FISA updates. Harry Reid has led this Democratic senate to disaster, but now he's really getting it done for the lawless and lawbreaking Bush administration by allowing the passage of a bill which will shield the telecoms that helped Bush illegally spy on US citizens. With this bill, telecoms will not be able to be sued for their illegal actions, and the accountability of the Bush admin on warrantless wiretapping will be severely reduced, to almost nothing.
So, please, take a moment to sign this petition, being jointly sponsored by firedoglake and my man Glenn Greenwald, to urge the House to fight for their version of the bill, the RESTORE act. Glenn has been a tireless crusader for the rule of law to be re-established in our country, and you really should give his blog at Salon a try, if you haven't already.
Again, please sign, this WILL go to House members, it's not some internet jack-off petition.
